Why I'm running for Pima County Supervisor

Qualified. Field Tested. Citizen Approved.

My experience as a mother of two daughters, a school board member, a state legislator and a community volunteer gives me the knowledge and insight to move our County forward. I want to apply my 30 years of experience in the areas of education, budget analysis, policy development, citizen advocacy and environmental advocacy. I have a deep understanding of the region's land use, economic, recreational and cultural needs. I've proven myself to be a tireless worker and leader. I'm a problem solver who does her homework, believes in fiscal moderation and accountability, listens to all sides and respects multiple points of view.

Pima County: A Model Community?

Pima County is a healthy, friendly, socially resilient community. Still, we have lots of room for improvement. I believe we can be a model community, a community studied by others as an example of good local government and economic sustainability. But it will take work and vision. Our future must include well maintained roads, excellent schools, safe neighborhoods, quality parks, well-maintained trails and recreational opportunities. We can have this, but it will take transparent, open government as well as active, engaged citizens to help shape our community's future.

It will also take a leader who works well with others and gets things done.

I'm running for Pima County Supervisor, District One. I look forward to working with you.
